Toolbars
- Toolbars are context sensitive. This means that that a feature is active or not depending on the selections on the page.
- The toolbars will vary somewhat depending on the different pages.
- Always try to use Back to navigate to the previous page. This ensures enhanced performance of CRIS 3.
- Always click Save after entering data on a page and before navigating to another page. Otherwise, you run the risk of losing work.

Basic Workflow
- Create an indicator set
- Create an indicator
- Select disaggregations for an indicator
- Create a monitoring plan
- Create a project
- Link indicators to a project
- Configure the disaggregration values for a project's indicators
- Enter data and do reporting

Create an Indicator Set
- Choose Indicators > Indicator Set List
- On the Indicator Set List page, click Add in the toolbar
- On the Edit Indicator Set page, enter the Name, Description and Is Visible (True = Show and False = Hide)
- Click Save in the toolbar
In our example, an indicator set named IndicatorSet1 has been added.

Link Existing Indicators to a Set
- Choose Indicators > Indicator Set List
- On the Indicator Set List page, select the relevant set. Click Link Indicators in the toolbar
- In the Indicator List window, select the indicators to be linked to the set. Click Select in the toolbar
In our example, indicator I2 was previously created. It is now linked to the set IndicatorSet1.

Create an Indicator
- Choose Indicators > Indicator List
- On the Indicator List page, click Add in the toolbar
- On the Indicator Definition page, enter the data
- Click Save in the toolbar
In our example, indicator I1 is added as a Count type.

Create a Monitoring Plan
- Choose Monitoring Plans
- Click Add New Monitoring Plan in the toolbar
- On the Add New Monitoring Plan page, enter the Name, Time Period, and Montitoring Plan Type
- Click Save in the toolbar
In our example, a monitoring plan called MonitoringPlan1 is added. A Project List and Indicator List are included.

Monitoring Plan Types
Two types of Monitoring Plans can be created:
- An Indicator List contains only Indicators.
- A Project List contains projects to which Indicators are linked.
- Project Lists and projects should only be created for programmatic indicators

Create a Project (optional)
- Choose Monitoring Plans > MonitoringPlan1 > Project List
- Click Add Project in the toolbar on the MonitoringPlan1 Project List page.
- Enter the data on the New Project page
- Click Save in the toolbar

Create a Project (cont.)
- Select a Level 1 project and repeat Steps 2-4 to add a Level 2 project.
- Select a Level 2 project and repeat Steps 2-4 to add a Level 3 project.
In our example, ProjectLevel1, ProjectLevel2 and ProjectLevel3 are created.

Link Indicators to Monitoring Plan
- Choose Monitoring Plan > MontoringPlan1 > Indicator List
- On the Monitoring Plan1 Indicator List page, click Link Indicators in the toolbar
- In the Indicator List window, select the indicators to be linked to the project.
- Click Select in the toolbar.
In our example, I2 is linked to an Indicator List.

Link Indicators to Project
- Choose Monitoring Plan > MontoringPlan1 > Project List
- On the Monitoring Plan1 Project List page, select a project
- On the ProjectLevel1 Indicator List Page, click Link Indicators in the toolbar
- In the Indicator List window, select the indicators to be linked to the project.
- Click Select in the toolbar.
In our example, I1 is linked to a Project List.

Enter Data, Option 1
- Choose Monitoring Plans > MonitoringPlan1 > Indicator List
- Click Enter Data in the toolbar
- On the Enter Data page, click Edit
- When finished, click Save

Enter Data, Option 2
- Choose Monitoring Plans > MonitoringPlan1 > Project List
- Select a project
- Click Enter Data in the toolbar
- On the Enter Data page, click Edit
- When finished, click Save

Enter Data, Option 3
- Choose Monitoring Plans > MonitoringPlan1 > Project List
- Select a project
- Click Indicator List in the toolbar
- Click Enter Data in the toolbar
- On the Enter Data page, click Edit
- When finished, click Save

View a Report
- Choose the desired report from the Reports menu.
- If prompted, make selections, such as GeoPlace Name, Indicator Set, etc. A red asterisk (*) denotes a required field.
- Click Run.

Print a Report
- Follow the instructions to view a report
- Click PDF, Word or Excel in the Export toolbar.
- In the File Download window, click Open to view the file directly.
- Use the print options to make a printout.

Export a Report
- Follow the instructions to view a report
- Click PDF, Word or Excel in the Export toolbar.
- In the File Download window, click Save to save the file.
- Browse to a location on your hard drive and enter a file name in the Save As window
- Click Save

Share Data
Use the Manage Content menu to import data into your CRIS system and export data out of your CRIS system.
Before exporting data or immediately after importing, use the Reports menu to validate the data.
