Learn how to:
- Create or modify a report in CRIS Report Designer
- Preview a new report
- Deploy a new report to the CRIS web application

Launch CRIS Report Designer

Create a New Report
- Choose File > New Report in the CRIS Report Designer
- Enter a name for the report
- Click on the Connection tab
- Verify the connection by clickingthe Test Connection button
- Click OK

Define the Data Set
- Choose Data > Data Set > Data in the CRIS Report Designer
- Verify the Name and Data Source
- Click SQL…
- Select a table to query and click the » button
- Click OK

Add a Query Parameter
- Click Refresh Fields
- Customize your parameters
- Return to the DataSet tab in the DataSet Window
- Click SQL…
- Add the parameter to your query
- Click OK

Add a Report Parameter
- Choose Data > Data Set > Data in the CRIS Report Designer
- Enter a new Name and verify that the DataSource is DS1
- Click SQL…
- In the SQL Syntax Helper window, select a table in the tree hierarchy on the left
- Click the » button (The query with all the selected table columns appears on the right.)
- Click OK
- In the DataSet window, click OK

Add a Report Parameter, Part II
- Right-click in the Body and choose Properties
- Click Add and enter a name
- Enter the prompt
- Select the Data Set Name, Value Field and Display Field
- Click OK

Create a Table
- In the Report Designer window, right-click a cell in the existing table and choose Delete Table.
- Right-click in the Body and choose Insert > Table.
- Click the » button
- Click OK

Preview the Report
- Click Preview
- Make a selection
- Click Run Report

Save a Report
- In the Report Designer window, choose File > Save.
- Browse to a location on your hard disk
- Enter a file name
- Click Save in the toolbar

Modify an Existing Report
- In the Report Designer window, choose File > Open CRIS Object
- Select the report you wish to modify
- Click Open
- Use Report Designer to make changes to and/or reformat the report

Publish a Report to CRIS 3
- In the Report Designer window, choose File > Save as CRIS Object
- Enter the Report Name
- Enter the Site Map Link Display
- Click Save
- Launch the CRIS 3 Web application (or log out and log in again). Choose your new report in the Reports menu
